Peterson is a very rich man now after he signed a five-year, $70 million contract with the Cardinals. That contract not only makes Peterson very wealthy, but it also makes him the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL. Peterson’s deal comes with $48 million guaranteed, which eclipsed the $40 million guaranteed the Seattle Seahawks gave cornerback Richard Sherman when he received a contract extension.
Peterson and Sherman are rivals both on and off the field. Their Twitter feud has been well-documented, and Peterson continued it again on Wednesday morning after becoming the game’s highest-paid corner.
