Patriots Training Camp Attendance: Alfonzo Dennard Returns To Practice

Alfonzo Dennard, LaVon BrazillFOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots are getting closer to being at full health as the preseason opener draws near.

Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was back on the practice field in full pads on Tuesday. Dennard took part in walkthrough drills, but he worked on conditioning during 1-on-1 and team drills.

Defensive tackle Tommy Kelly added game pants to his practice wardrobe. Kelly wore shoulder pads and a jersey during practice on Saturday and Sunday.

Cornerback Daxton Swanson returned to practice after missing two practices because of a death in the family.

Wide receivers Aaron Dobson, Jeremy Gallon and Matthew Slater, linebacker Deontae Skinner, defensive tackle Dominique Easley were spotted doing conditioning in sweats, but the five players were not participating in practice. Dobson had a permanent screw placed in his foot during surgery in March to fix a stress fracture, sources told the Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe.

Cornerback Jemea Thomas, running back Tyler Gaffney, tight end Michael Hoomanawanui, guard Dan Connolly and offensive tackle Chris Martin were not spotted on the practice field.
