Australia natives Patty Mills and Aron Baynes had a pretty great 2013-2014 NBA season, both playing contributing roles on a San Antonio Spurs team that rolled over the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals to capture its fifth title.

Apparently their success stateside has yet to translate into fame in their home country.

Mills and Baynes recently took the Larry O’Brien Trophy back to Australia and decided to have a little fun the other day by crashing a live shot during a FOX Sports News broadcast.

The determined field reporter was having none of it.

One would think that the shiny NBA championship trophy would be a dead giveaway that Mills and Baynes weren’t just two average blokes, but the reporter, FOX Sports’ Julian de Stoop, didn’t get the memo.

To de Stoop’s credit, he realized who the two intruders were after the fact and issued a good-natured apology on Twitter.

Looks like de Stoop will just have to wait for the next professional sports champion to stop by his live shot.
