Avery Bradley, DeMarre Carroll, Kyle KorverAvery Bradley signed a four-year, $32 million contract to remain with the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, but he could have gotten more, sources told the Boston Herald’s Steve Bulpett on Thursday.

Bulpett writes that “at least one other team” was prepared to offer a larger contract to the 23-year-old guard. The Philadelphia 76ers were reportedly among the teams interested in Bradley, although sources couldn’t confirm that they made him an offer.

“Perhaps more importantly, the other bids coming his way would have contained clauses designed to dissuade the Celts from meeting the terms,” Bulpett added.

Bradley is set to make just over $7 million in guaranteed money with Boston this season, and by 2017-18 he’ll be making more than $9 million per year. The fifth-year guard averaged 14.9 points and 3.8 rebounds during the 2013-14 season.
