NBA: Minnesota Timberwolves at Sacramento KingsThe Cleveland Cavaliers are trying to stack their roster.

Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Cavs are pursuing a trade for Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love, “contingent on the signing of LeBron James.” In fact, sources also told Fox Sports Ohio that the Cavs discussed trade scenarios directly with James’ agent, Rich Paul.

Though there’s no knowing exactly where James will land yet, reports have pegged Cleveland as a top contender. If they were to sign James and acquire Love, there’s no doubt that Love would want to extend his contract in Cleveland.

The Boston Celtics are still persistent in their quest to acquire Love, but there’s no guarantee they could hold onto him for very long if the Cavs did sign James, as Love can opt out of his contract at the end of next season.
