Report: Ray Allen Being Pursued By Cavaliers, Who Want LeBron James Back

Ray AllenThe Cleveland Cavaliers appear to be all in on LeBron James, and they’re doing so by making some necessary roster shake-ups.

The Cavs shed salary cap space with a reported three-team trade Wednesday morning, and shortly after that news broke, another interesting tidbit surfaced. ESPN’s Chris Broussard reported that the Cavaliers now are making a run at veteran guard Ray Allen.

Allen and James are very familiar with each other. The two spent the last two seasons together with the Miami Heat and won a championship in Allen’s first season in South Beach.

Signing Allen would give the Cavs one of the best 3-point shooters in NBA history, as well as some veteran leadership on what would be a very young team. Allen turns 39 later this month and will be entering his 19th NBA season.
