Home is turning into a common theme of NBA free agency this year.

Dwyane Wade took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce his decision to stay with the Miami Heat. Wade’s contract will be worth $34 million over two seasons, according to The Associated Press.

Wade is a Chicago native, but after playing all 11 of his NBA seasons on South Beach and winning three championships there, Miami has become his adopted home.

With Wade’s announcement and Chris Bosh’s new contract, the Heat get some consolation in losing LeBron James by bringing back two key members of their championship runs. The team also recently signed Luol Deng and brought back Mario Chalmers and Chris Andersen.

Wade averaged 19 points, 4.7 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game on 54.5 percent shooting last season. Injuries limited him to 54 regular-season games, however, and he struggled at points during the playoffs.
