Report: Kevin Love ‘Intrigued’ By Idea Of Being Traded To Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers landed the NBA’s best free agent Friday, but could another superstar be on the way?

LeBron James announced he’ll be rejoining the Cavaliers in a potentially league-altering move, and now Minnesota Timberwolves big man Kevin Love reportedly has his eye on Cleveland, too.

ESPN’s Marc Stein reported shortly after James’ announcement that Love is “intrigued” by the possibility of joining LeBron in Cleveland. Love still is under contract with the T-Wolves, so the Cavs would have to work out a trade to acquire the UCLA product. Love also has only one year left on his contract, but Stein also reported that Love would be willing to sign on long-term if the two sides could make a deal.

Minnesota is rightfully asking for a ton in return for Love, and ESPN.com reported the team already has received an offer. Sources said the Cavs have offered guard Dion Waiters, forward Anthony Bennett and a first-round draft pick to Minnesota.

Love had another tremendous season in 2013-14, averaging 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. He’s considered one of the NBA’s best offensive big men, and he’s also one of the league’s best rebounders.
