Dan ReedDan Reed has some news to “share” with the world. He hopes you’ll “like” it.

Reed, president of the NBA Development League for the past seven years, has resigned, Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reported Monday, citing a league source. Reed will reportedly run sports partnerships at Facebook.

Some might say Reed’s greatest accomplishment is expanding the D-League to 18 clubs, with 15 of those holding one-on-one relationships with an NBA parent club. But the real victory of the D-League under Reed was taking the lead in the battle against flopping. The D-League began issuing in-game technical fouls for flopping last season, a measure the NBA has yet to take up.
