YedlinDeAndre Yedlin makes $92,000 per year playing for the Seattle Sounders — the lowest salary of anyone on the United States’ World Cup roster.

That could change very soon.

Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport reports a deal has been finalized between the Sounders and AS Roma of Italy’s Serie A that will send the American abroad.

Once the transfer is complete, Yedlin’s contract with the Sounders will be terminated and he’ll be allowed to negotiate a new deal with Roma.

The 20-year-old Yedlin made a few appearances in the 2014 FIFA World Cup and was one of the few players not named Tim Howard that provided “wows” from the U.S. crowd in their loss against Belgium.

Financial details of the potential transfer were not disclosed, and it’s unclear if Yedlin will finish out the season with Seattle or leave before its conclusion.
