It must be nice to be Carmelo Anthony these days.

The free agent forward has been in high demand since opting out of his contract with the New York Knicks on June 23. Anthony’s first major suitors were the Bulls, who pulled out all the stops before his visit to Chicago on Tuesday by decorating the United Center and surrounding areas with signs featuring the 30-year-old star.

The next stop on Anthony’s grand tour is Houston, and the Rockets are not planning to be outdone when Melo rolls into town Wednesday.

While Anthony’s likeness in a Rockets uniform is cool to look at, it doesn’t exactly stack up to the massive mural that the Bulls slapped on their arena.

Still, the Rockets seem intent on letting their actual pitch to the prized free agent do the talking, as Houston center Dwight Howard reportedly will attend the team’s meeting with Anthony to offer a “player’s perspective” on joining the team.

If we’re going strictly by visual tributes, though, expect Carmelo in the Windy City next season.
