Shabazz NapierLeBron James’ decision to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers has cost him a couple of friends in the form of NBA rookies.

Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid exhausted every effort to recruit LeBron to the City of Brotherly Love. Embiid then blocked the superstar on Twitter for not responding to any of his tweets and finally admitted defeat Friday.

Now it’s Shabazz Napier’s turn to show his disappointment in LeBron.

LeBron made it well-known during the NCAA tournament that he’s a huge fan of the UConn point guard, so when the Miami Heat traded for Napier shortly after the Charlotte Hornets drafted him 24th overall last month, it was certain the team made the move in an effort to keep King James in South Beach.

That plan didn’t work out as planned for the Heat, or for Napier, who thought he’d be playing alongside the four-time NBA MVP, so he decided to completely move on from LeBron. After following the superstar on Twitter right after being drafted, Napier recently unfollowed LeBron and deleted any and all tweets he had sent him since the news came out that he reportedly had signed a two-year deal with the Cavs.

This class of rookies is all about the tough love.
