Here’s a sign that Yasiel Puig is adjusting well to life in the United States: he’s even adopted the Dikembe Mutombo finger wag.

The Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder’s talents were on full display yet again on during Tuesday’s game against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. In the bottom of the second inning, Tigers veteran Torii Hunter laced a line drive to right field and unwisely attempted to stretch a single to a double.

Puig appeared to make him pay, grabbing the ball on one hop off the wall and firing a perfect throw to second base to nab Hunter.

Detroit challenged the call, however, and the play was overturned due to a late tag from Dodgers shortstop Miguel Rojas.

Hunter escaped the wrath of Puig’s powerful arm that time, but the 23-year-old phenom had a not-so-friendly message for the 38-year-old veteran.

Puig’s classic Motombo impression is definitely worth noting, but the real story here is the outfielder’s absolute cannon of an arm.

If Hunter was offended at all by Puig’s gesture, it didn’t show, as the Tigers outfielder went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a 14-5 blowout win for Detroit.
