The Chicago White Sox center fielder is known for his aggressive style of play, but his hustle proved to be very painful for him Tuesday afternoon. Eaton crashed hard — really hard — into the fence in right-center field while trying to catch a home run hit by Texas Rangers shortstop Adam Rosales during the second inning.

The 5-foot-8, 185-pound outfielder never seemed to slow down as he was tracking Rosales’ fly ball, hitting the fence with a scary amount of force.
Eaton left the game after the brutal collision, and the White Sox have since announced he has a bruised lower back. It appeared that his face and shoulder took the brunt of the impact, so how he bruised his back on the play remains somewhat of a mystery.
The White Sox also announced that Eaton had X-rays taken, which came back negative.
