As the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft, you’d expect Andrew Wiggins to be fairly confident about his future.

At the moment, however, the Cleveland Cavaliers rookie is filled with uncertainty about what the next few weeks will bring. Wiggins is the subject of intense trade rumors that involve him being dealt to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for All-Star forward Kevin Love.

The 19-year-old made an appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter Sunday morning, and Wiggins’ anxiety was visible when he was asked about what the future held for him.

“I just want to play for a team that wants me. So whichever team wants me I’ll play for,” Wiggins said, via ESPN.

Wiggins was then asked if he thought the Cavaliers wanted him in Cleveland.

“Yeah … I hope so,” he replied, after a lengthy pause.

Wiggins has reason to be skeptical, as Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor said on Saturday that a deal sending Love to the Cavaliers — who would likely give up Wiggins in return — is “likely” to be done on Aug. 23 or 24, when Wiggins becomes eligible to be traded.

“At the end of the day you have to remember that the NBA is a business before anything. I’m just waiting to hear — I’m a rookie, I really don’t have too much say,” Wiggins added.

Amid all the speculation, the former Kansas star was able to have a little fun on Sunday, squaring off in an impromptu dunk contest against Timberwolves rookies Zach LaVine and Glenn Robinson III. The way things are going, Wiggins could be teammates with LaVine and Robinson in the very near future.
