The Brooklyn Cyclones are taking the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to new heights.
The viral challenge has taken the Internet by storm this summer with buckets of icy water being dumped on heads in order to raise awareness for ALS. The Cyclones — the New York Mets’ short-season Single-A affiliate — put a new twist on the challenge.
Instead of ice water, the Cyclones used “slime” in conjunction with Nickelodeon. The result: the Slime Bucket Challenge.
The fun doesn’t end there, though. The Cyclones will also hold “90s Night” on Aug. 27. The Cyclones will wear “9os Are All That” jerseys, which have a certain slime element of their own. Those jerseys will be auctioned off throughout the game, and the proceeds will go to the ALS Association.
