Bud Bash Homers Of The Week: Brett Gardner Hits Two Homers Off Yu Darvish

New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner makes hitting against Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish look easy.

Gardner, who already had two career homers against the Rangers ace, belted two more home runs against Darvish for his first-ever multi-home run game on Monday night. All but one of Gardner’s five hits against Darvish have left the ballpark.

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Melky Cabrera was in the groove at Fenway on Monday night. After homering in his first at-bat of the game, Cabrera smoked a homer in the sixth inning that traveled over the Green Monster and smashed the windshield of a parked car on Lansdowne Street.

The rest of this week’s homers include Atlanta Braves outfielder Justin Upton’s game-tying home run against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland Athletics third baseman Josh Donaldson’s mammoth solo blast in Houston and Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Jordy Mercer’s home run that destroyed a fan’s cup of beer.

Check out the five Bud Bash Homers of the Week below, presented by the Budweiser Bash Bar located on Yawkey Way.
