Officer Steve Horgan officially has reached the big time.

Horgan will always be remembered for one of the iconic images of the 2013 Boston Red Sox championship series. Serving as the Fenway Park bullpen cop, HorganĀ achieved overnight fameĀ as he raised his hands in celebration when David Ortiz hit a game-tying grand slam in the American League Championship Series.

The image of Horgan with his arms in the air and Detroit Tigers outfielder Torii Hunter’s feet pointed skyward while he crashed over the wall quickly became a symbol for Boston’s playoff run. On Monday night, the image became immortalized with a bobblehead doll.

Fans attending the Red Sox’s game against the Los Angeles Angels — on Law Enforcement Night — were presented with a bobblehead doll of Horgan, depicting the officer with his hands in the air, of course.

NESN’s Gary Striewski caught up with Horgan during the game.
