Red Sox starter Clay Buchholz pitched seven strong innings in Friday night’s game at Fenway Park, but he wasn’t able to earn a victory when Boston lost 5-3 in 10 innings to the Houston Astros.

Buchholz gave up two earned runs, walked two, struck out nine and left the game with a 3-2 lead after the seventh inning. The Red Sox couldn’t hold that advantage, though, as the Astros scored one run in the eighth inning and two in the 10th inning to secure their first ever win in Boston.
