Only three Boston Red Sox players have hit 400 or more home runs for the franchise.

David Ortiz is one of them.

Big Papi launched No. 400 over the center field wall Saturday during the third inning of Boston’s contest against the Houston Astros, joining an elite club comprised of Ted Williams (521) and Carl Yastrzemski (452). The two-run jack cut Houston’s lead to 5-3.

Ortiz wasn’t done, though.

He wrapped another two-run shot — his 28th of the season and 459th of his career — around Pesky’s Pole in the fifth inning, adding to what would eventually become a 7-6 Red Sox lead. Ortiz is the club leader in multi-home run games with 43, ahead of Ted Williams’ 37.
