German Soccer Player Scores Hilarious Header Lying On Ground (Video)

Robin van Persie might have some competition for most memorable header of the year.

Van Persie’s goal for the Netherlands against Spain in the 2014 FIFA World Cup was one of the highlights of the tournament. Christopher Bieber of the Würzburger Kickers in Germany’s fourth division scored an impressive header of his own, although it was nowhere near as graceful as Van Persie’s.

Bieber literally lies flat on the ground to head the low crossing pass into the net for the goal. He wasn’t even looking at the ball when he headed it into the net — truly impressive work.

The goal was just one of many in the Kickers’ 4-0 blowout win over Wacker Burghausen in a Bavarian regional contest. Never change, low-level European soccer.
