Hope Solo’s court date has been set for her alleged incidents of domestic violence.
The U.S. women’s soccer goalkeeper will face a November trial after being accused of assaulting her half-sister and nephew in June, according to The Associated Press. The trial is scheduled to begin on Nov. 4.
Solo pleaded not guilty to two counts of fourth-degree domestic violence.
The police report from the alleged incident painted an ugly picture for Solo, who reportedly used both verbal and physical abuse. According to the 911 call, Solo was “going crazy and hitting people.” Solo allegedly was also drunk during the altercation.
Solo was apologetic in the days that followed the alleged incident.
“I love my family dearly,” she wrote in a June 27 apology, according to KOMO News. Â “We, like all families, have our challenges but my sincere hope is that we are able to resolve this situation as a family. Adversity has always made us stronger and I know this situation will be no different.”
The trial isn’t expected to interfere with Solo’s soccer career. The goalkeeper currently plays for the Seattle Reign of the National Women’s Soccer League. U.S Soccer will begin CONCACAF qualifying play in October for the 2015 World Cup.
