Mike TysonThe man who portrayed Ray Charles on the big screen soon might play the role of Mike Tyson.

In an interview with IGN, Tyson said he’s having discussions with Jamie Foxx about creating a biopic about his own life “within a year or 18 months.”

Foxx, of course, won the 2004 Academy Award for best actor in “Ray” and also played the role of Muhammad Ali’s corner man, Dwight Brown, in “Ali.”

Tyson also said famed director Martin Scorsese might be involved in the film and that they would use performance capture technology to encapsulate Tyson’s growth from a young fighter to a present-day entertainer.

Despite all of the big plans surrounding the movie, Tyson noted it would be too painful to watch his mistakes in a film.

“I’m never going to watch the movie of course because … Or I’ll probably watch it alone,” Tyson said.

While Tyson won’t watch it, there’s no doubt the film would feature plenty of drama because of all the ups and downs in his life.
