NFL: Hall of Fame Game-New York Giants vs Buffalo BillsJim Kelly shows no evidence of sinus cancer, three months after the Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame quarterback completed radiation and chemotherapy treatments.

Dr. Peter Costantino said Wednesday in a release issued by New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital that the treatments have “completely eliminated” any pain Kelly was experiencing. Costantino also said Kelly’s level of function has “essentially returned to normal.”

The statement was issued one day after Kelly visited the hospital for a follow-up examination.

Costantino said a series of tests over the next week will determine if further treatments are necessary.

Kelly had surgery in June 2013 to remove cancerous cells in his upper jaw. The cancer then spread to his sinus.
