Mo’ne Davis has received plenty of recognition as a flame-throwing female at this year’s Little League World Series, and that was taken to the next level Monday.

The 13-year-old star of the Philadelphia team will be on the cover of this week’s Sports Illustrated, the publication revealed. Accompanying a photo of Davis on the mound at Williamsport is the title “Mo’ne Davis: Remember Her Name.”

It has been tough to forget her name, as Davis has dominated the headlines surrounding the Little League World Series, especially after her commanding debut.

“Last week, this week, maybe next week, she’s owned the sports conversation,” Sports Illustrated manager editor Chris Stone said on SI’s website. “How often do you get to say this about a 13-year-old girl? It’s the easiest type of story to identify as a cover story.”

Davis is expected to be back on the mound Wednesday when the Philadelphia squad takes on an undefeated Las Vegas team.
