Mario Balotelli has lofty ambitions for his Liverpool career.

Liverpool has one of the youngest squads in the Premier League. Balotelli, 24, thinks he will fit in with the rest of the group and have a positive influence inside the dressing room.

“I maybe have a little bit more experience than other players — if I can help them, I’m happy to help them,” Balotelli said, according to LiverpoolFC.com.

Prior to joining AC Milan in January 2013, Balotelli spent two-and-a-half seasons at Manchester City. Although he scored 30 goals in 54 games for AC Milan, Balotelli didn’t have a great time during his 18 months at the club.

“I’m happy to be back because I left England and it was a mistake,” Balotelli said. “I wanted to go to Italy but I realized it was a mistake.

“English football is generally better. English football is beautiful.

Balotelli was part of Inter Milan’s UEFA Champions League-winning team in 2010. Balotelli was only 19 years old when he celebrated that triumph and he hopes to celebrate his second European championship in the coming months and years.

“I want to win another Champions League for sure, because the Champions League wasn’t all mine, I was in a team,” Balotelli said. “I want to take this team to the Champions League.”
