Mike Napoli nearly sent a baseball back across the border Tuesday.

Napoli absolutely pulverized a three-run homer in the 11th inning of the Boston Red Sox’s 11-7 win over the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre. The blast, which landed in the fifth deck, traveled an estimated 452 feet.

Napoli’s home run is only the 17th ever hit into the fifth deck at Rogers Centre, according to the Blue Jays. It’s the seventh such homer hit by an opposing player.

The Red Sox scored seven runs in the 11th inning Tuesday en route to their second straight extra-inning win. It was an eventful contest for Napoli, as the slugger also was plunked in the head by an R.A. Dickey knuckleball earlier in the contest.
