When Monique Evans stepped onto the field Friday night to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Texas Rangers-Los Angeles Angels game, it could have gone one of two ways.

Evans, this year’s reigning Miss Texas, could have channeled her inner Chrissy Teigen and fired a strike to home plate, or she could have pulled a 50 Cent and missed the plate by about a mile.

We’ll let you decide what category Miss Texas’ pitch fell under.

Evans appears to have a rather unique pitching delivery, and in this case it resulted in a not-so-accurate “throw” towards home plate.

Excelling at ceremonial first pitches isn’t in Miss Texas’ job description, though, so we’ll cut her some slack.

Evans was also able to laugh it off and take it all in stride, although we hope she didn’t stick around for the game’s end. The Angels’ Kole Calhoun launched a three-run homer in the eighth inning en route to a 5-4 Los Angeles win.
