The University of Nebraska football team is well aware of how tough of a young man Jack Hoffman is.

The courageous youngster was at the center of a tremendous moment back in April of 2013 when he joined the Cornhuskers at a spring practice. Nebraska allowed him to join them on the field, where Jack — dressed in a full Cornhuskers uniform — took a handoff and ran 69 yards for a touchdown.

Jack, who had been suffering from brain cancer, recently received the rotten news that his cancer had returned. He’s in Boston for treatment, but he’s not far from the hearts and minds of the Nebraska football team.

Head coach Bo Pelini and his players took time out during a recent practice to send a message to Jack and his family as they prepare to go through another cancer battle.
