EA Sports has released a list of the top 50 rated players for its upcoming “NHL 15” video game.

Patrice Bergeron, who will grace the cover of this year’s installment, is one of four Boston Bruins players rated in the top 50.

  • 37. David Krejci, Center, 89 overall rating
  • 21. Patrice Bergeron, Center, 91 overall rating
  • 20. Zdeno Chara, Defenseman, 91 overall rating
  • 13. Tuukka Rask, Goaltender, 92 overall rating

As you would expect from a two-time Frank J. Selke Trophy winner, Bergeron has a full five-star defensive rating, which includes a 95 rating on faceoffs.

The highest-rated NHL player is Pittsburgh Penguins center and reigning Hart Trophy winner Sidney Crosby at 96 overall, which isn’t a surprise. Steven Stamkos (93), Jonathan Toews (93), Alexander Ovechkin (93) and Shea Weber (93) complete the top five.

Anaheim Ducks forwards Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry are the only teammates ranked in the top 10. There are 33 players rated a 90 or higher, but that group does not include Patrick Kane, which is odd.

“NHL 15” will be released Sept. 9 on most major consoles, including Playstation 4 and Xbox One. It also includes a “life-like” TD Garden.
