Indiana Pacers forward Paul George truly is a giving man.
Before he suffered a tragic season-ending leg injury this offseason, George decided to change his jersey number from 24 to 13. The NBA has a rule that if a player applies to change his number after March, then he must purchase all of the old jerseys that are available on the market. George sent in his application before the deadline, so he did not have to buy all of his No. 24 jerseys.
But he did anyway.
The injured forward not only bought his old No. 24 jerseys, but he distributed them to people at his old high school in Palmdale, Calif.

If they weren’t Pacers fans before, the people of Palmdale sure are now. He won’t be on the court this upcoming season, but George should get an assist for this gesture.
