Dustin Johnson, Paulina GretzkyPGA Tour star Dustin Johnson reportedly is serving a six-month suspension for a failed drug test, but he’s not letting that keep him off the golf course.

The Golf Channel reported Wednesday that Johnson is spending his time in Idaho, where he has been caddying for his fiancée, Paulina Gretzky. According to the report, Johnson also is still playing golf during his time away from the Tour.

News of the ban surfaced last week after Johnson reportedly failed a drug test and tested positive for cocaine. According to one report, it was Johnson’s third failed drug test in recent years, after reportedly testing positive for marijuana in 2009 before testing positive for cocaine in 2012 and 2014.

Shortly before the news of the suspension broke, Johnson announced he was taking time away from golf to deal with “personal challenges.”

“Most thought (the announcement) was a hint that he was going to a treatment center,” Tim Rosaforte said Wednesday on The Golf Channel. “Instead, he’s been up in Northern Idaho at Gozzer Ranch (Golf and Lake Club), hanging out with the Gretzky family, caddying for Paulina in the club’s ladies’ member-guest, and playing a lot of golf, playing almost every day.”

Johnson apparently hasn’t missed a beat, either. According to Rosaforte, Johnson shot a 61 earlier this week.

Johnson’s future father-in-law, NHL legend Wayne Gretzky, reportedly spoke with Johnson about his behavior.
