RihannaThe NFL reportedly has its eyes on three potential candidates for this season’s Super Bowl halftime show, but there might be an NFL-imposed catch for whoever ends up doing this year’s show.

The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that the NFL is considering Rihanna, Katy Perry or Coldplay for the Super Bowl XIL halftime show in Arizona.

However, the NFL reportedly has a new stipulation for this year’s act. According to the WSJ report, the NFL actually wants a “pay for play” system. Under the new proposal, the act would contribute some of its post-Super Bowl tour income back to the league. Halftime show acts traditionally have used the gig to launch tours.

Bruno Mars played the 2014 halftime show.
