Dean BlandinoThe Dallas Cowboys may have taken their partying a little too far this week.

Director of player personnel Stephen JonesĀ and some other team officials took a Cowboys bus out for a night of partying on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

It’s not a surprise that they were partying in Los Angeles — the Cowboys practice just 90 minutes from the city. The real surprise was that NFL vice presidentĀ of officiating Dean Blandino allegedly stepped off the bus, too.

Several club officials from other teamsĀ told Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com that they are not happy about the incident. Other teams said it’sĀ a conflict of interest and could be an issue when it comes to the competitive balance of the league.

“That’s definitely Dean,” one official told La Canfora after watching the TMZ video that purportedly shows Blandino stepping off the bus.Ā “Is the league trying to tell you it’s not him? What is the league telling you guys about it? That looks horrible. I can’t think of another owner in the league who wouldn’t be pissed off after seeing that.”

Other clubs generally seem to like Blandino, but they are not happy that Blandino could be playing favorites with the Cowboys.

“So, should I have my owner take him to a strip club when he visits us?” one team official asked. “Is that how it works? We like Dean a lot, but let me tell you, if that was him out with (the owner of a rival of the club this official works for), my owner would be going nuts. This just can’t happen.”
