The St. Louis Blues made a massive upgrade in the uniform department Monday, ditching the much-maligned Reebok Edge template for a cleaner, more traditional look.

The new uniforms eliminate the excessive piping and gimmicks of the Blues’ previous set in favor of a look similar to what the team wore from 1998 to 2007. St. Louis’ navy blue third jerseys will remain unchanged.
Monday’s unveiling ceremony also gave Blues fans a first look at newcomer Paul Stastny in blue and gold. The U.S. Olympian signed with the Blues as a free agent over the summer after spending the first eight seasons of his career with the Colorado Avalanche.
