Auction Ohio sold the “delinquent storage unit contents of a former NFL star” Wednesday, and that star was former New England Patriots wide receiver Terry Glenn. Among the items were a Patriots playbook, an offseason program, a 1999 season-ending guide and Patriots and Ohio State jerseys and jackets.
The playbooks sold for $680, but the jersey package was a steal. It came with two jerseys — one of which is believed to be official — and a jacket, and it sold for $150, which is much cheaper than a single official jersey sells for today.
Glenn played for the Patriots for six seasons starting in 1996 and enjoyed a successful career with the team, despite the fact that it ended badly. He had two seasons of 1,000-plus reception yards and most notably caught quarterback Tom Brady’s first career touchdown pass in 2001.
