Chris Colabello is one tough customer.
In the fourth inning of Sunday’s contest between the Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox, the Twins first baseman managed to catch a Jose Abreu pop-up despite getting hit in the eye a split-second beforehand.
OK, we should clarify. Colabello was only hit by a raindrop. But still.

A small drop of water certainly isn’t a dangerous projectile. Yet if you’ve ever gotten something stuck in your eye, you know it isn’t pleasant, so kudos to Colabello for fighting off all that nature had to offer.
Luckily for Colabello and the Twins, the rain slowed enough to set the stage for an amazing nine-run offensive explosion from Minnesota in the eighth inning en route to a 16-3 blowout win.
Alas, Colabello and teammate Josh Willingham were the only Twins starters not to record an RBI. Maybe Colabello’s eye was still a little too moist.
