Yoenis Cespedes ‘Felt Comfortable’ During Debut With Red Sox (Video)


The newest member of the Boston Red Sox made his debut on Saturday afternoon.

Outfielder Yoenis Cespedes batted fourth and played left field during his first game with the team. He went 1-for-4 with a single and scored a run in Boston’s 6-4 loss to the New York Yankees.

“I came in and felt comfortable,” Cespedes said of his first game, via a translator. “It was nice to see a lot of fans in the stands, and I really liked it here.”
