Yoenis CespedesBoston Red Sox outfielder Yoenis Cespedes will get the night off Tuesday night as Boston looks to get back on the winning track against Cespedes’ old nemesis in Jered Weaver and the Los Angeles Angels.

Cespedes is a .308 lifetime hitter against the right-handed Weaver, but he will get the night off, as Daniel Nava will slide into the Boston lineup, hitting fifth and playing left field. Cespedes has shown All-Star flashes since being acquired on July 31, but he’s hitting just .219 in 15 games since being traded from Oakland.

One player to keep an eye on for the second game of the four-game set is Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli. The former Angel is in the cleanup spot and is looking for even more success against Weaver. Napoli enters Tuesday’s game with a .345 (10-for-29) career average against the righty with three home runs.

Rookie outfielder Mookie Betts is in center field again after being recalled Monday. He had a single and a walk in Boston’s loss on Monday night.

Allen Webster will get the start on the mound for the Red Sox.
