Roger GoodellLet’s be honest: Roger Goodell isn’t going anywhere as NFL commissioner until the league begins to lose some of its army of corporate sponsors.

The NFL hasn’t reached that point yet, but one of its largest sponsors put forth a strongly worded statement Tuesday, making clear that it’s increasingly worried about the league’s direction.

With controversy swirling, ESPN’s Darren Rovell tweeted the following from the company that produces Budweiser and other products: “We are disappointed and increasingly concerned by the recent incidents that have overshadowed this NFL season. We are not yet satisfied with the league’s handling of behaviors that so clearly go against our own company culture and moral code. We have shared our concerns and expectations with the league.”

Goodell and the NFL are under fire after two sizable abuse scandals involving running backs Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson came to light in the last two weeks. Rice was cut by the Baltmore Ravens and later suspended indefinitely by the NFL after TMZ released a video of him striking his then-fiancée in a casino elevator. Peterson was benched for one game by the Minnesota Vikings after being indicted on a felony charge of injury to a child.
