People atĀ ballparks often fight over foul balls, but not very often do they kindly hand them to a complete stranger.

But that’s exactly what happened Friday night at Fenway Park.

In the bottom of the fourth inning of the Boston Red Sox’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays, catcher Christian Vazquez knocked a ball foul, and the ball girl handed it to a young boy. However, that boy immediately turned around and gave it to the younger girl behind him.

NESN announcers Don Orsillo and Jerry RemyĀ were so astounded by the boy’s generosity that they sent sideline reporter Gary Striewski to the stands to give him two baseballs and get an interview.
