Bruins Sign Matt Fraser To One-Year Contract, Invite Ville Leino To Training Camp

Matt Fraser, Dougie HamiltonWILMINGTON, Mass. — The Boston Bruins have signed restricted free agent forward Matt Fraser to a one-year, two-way contract, general manager Peter Chiarelli said Friday.

Fraser played in two regular-season games for Boston in 2013-14.

The 24-year-old forward also scored the winning goal in overtime of Game 4 during the Bruins’ second-round playoff series against the Montreal Canadiens.

Chiarelli also said veteran winger Ville Leino has been invited to training camp — which begins Sept. 18. — on a tryout basis. The team reportedly has invited veteran winger Simon Gagne for a training camp tryout, too.
