ArrowheadArrowhead Stadium again is the loudest in the world.

Kansas City Chiefs fans brought their A-game Monday night as they broke the Guinness crowd noise record that Seattle Seahawks fans set last season at CenturyLink Field.

The noise level reached 142.2 decibels during the second quarter of the game against the New England Patriots, crushing the previous record of 137.6 decibels set by Seattle’s 12th Man.

So, what else measures near 140 decibels?

Gunshots and jet engines.

In fact, anything above 140 decibels can cause immediate hearing damage and cause pain.

The Chiefs held the record before the Seahawks, meaning these teams’ fan bases have developed a unique rivalry. It’ll be interesting to see how the 12th Man reacts to Kansas City’s record-breaking performance.
