Pretty much every Boston Bruin can’t wait for the 2014-15 regular season to start.
Chief among them is winger Brad Marchand, who is looking to rebound after struggling in the playoffs last season. Marchand certainly got off to a good start Tuesday night, depositing a breakaway goal in Boston’s 5-3 preseason loss to the New York Islanders at TD Garden.
Marchand’s night wasn’t perfect — he took a penalty in the third period for cross-checking — but head coach Claude Julien said he likes what he sees so far from the 26-year-old forward.
“He’s a guy that seems to be in really good shape this year, seems to be determined to have a bounce-back year and so far in camp he’s off to a good start,” Julien told NESN’s Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley after the game. “(He’s) capable of turning games around for us when he’s at his best.”
Julien also had positive things to say about Bobby Robins, a 32-year-old winger who hopes to crack the Bruins’ roster. Hear more from Julien on Marchand and Robins in the video above.
