Cuba Gooding Jr. introduced the United Center to the ol’ shoot-and-strip celebration Tuesday night.

The Academy Award winning actor took part in the “Shoot the Puck” competition during the second intermission of the Chicago Blackhawks’ preseason opener against the Detroit Red Wings, and boy, was it something special. After missing on his first two shots, Gooding Jr., nailed his third and final attempt, prompting him to get so excited he just had to take off his clothes.

We have no explanation either. But given Gooding Jr.’s behavior the last time he was around the sport, his actions actually start to make more sense.
