Daniel Nava powered the Boston Red Sox to an 8-4 win over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday, blasting a grand slam in the sixth inning to give the club the lead for good.

But don’t expect many more blasts like that from Nava. The outfielder, whose last grand salami came in 2010 when he went yard on the very first pitch he saw as a major leaguer, said with guys like David Ortiz, Yoenis Cespedes and Mike Napoli in the lineup, being the power guy isn’t exactly his role.

Nava added that he’s simply trying to make every at-bat that he gets count, as he’s looking for some consistency in the final month of the season.
