USATSI_8089784 (1)New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter officially will hang up his cleats after Sunday’s season finale against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.

Jeter made Yankees history during his career by ranking first in hits, stolen bases, at-bats and games played. The 40-year-old played 20 seasons in New York before finally deciding it was time to put down the bat.

While Jeter made an impact on the Yankees, he also left a lasting impression on Major League Baseball. To honor him, many teams around the league presented him with gifts — some more creative than others — throughout the season, and the Red Sox became the last team to bestow some presents on the Captain.

The Red Sox went all out with a pregame ceremony for No. 2, trotting out team legends and Boston sports greats to greet Jeter. The entire 2014 team even came out to shake Jeter’s hand before the organization gave him a number of priceless Fenway items he’ll add to his impressive collection.
