Facebook Map Shows Derek Jeter Most Popular In Northeast, Florida (Photo)

Derek Jeter is one of the most popular players in Major League Baseball, but that doesn’t mean he’s loved everywhere.

Facebook used the New York Yankees shortstop’s 2.5 million likes to find out where Jeter fans reside and made a map. The results probably won’t shock you too much.

It’s entirely unsurprising that Jeter is so popular in the Northeast and that Boston Red Sox fans in Massachusetts don’t share the same love as their neighbors. It also makes sense that Florida, which is home to a large amount of Northeast transplants, has an affinity for the shortstop.

Why New Mexico has so many Jeter fans, however, is beyond us.
