Donald BrownWith three NFL weeks in the books, you should have a good idea of what your fantasy team will look like going forward.

Injuries, suspensions and non-exempt commissioner’s lists have already taken a toll on the fantasy world this season. That’s the bad news. The good news is that three weeks of NFL action is usually enough to determine your team’s strengths and weaknesses. By now, you should have an idea of what positions you can set and forget and what areas you’ll have to micromanage going forward.

For the latter category, keeping an eye on the waiver wire is the best way to populate your roster with viable — albeit usually risky — players who can keep your team in the hunt.

Week 4 is no exception, as a handful of injuries and favorable matchups have placed several players on the fantasy map. Let’s take a look at the top prospects.

Quarterback: Kirk Cousins, Washington Redskins
Forgive us for doing a complete 180 on Cousins, but Robert Griffin III’s backup proved he’s more than capable of thriving as a starter in Week 3. The Redskins face another NFC East rival this week in the New York Giants, and while the Giants are a bit more stout than the Philadelphia Eagles, Cousins will get plenty of chances to put up numbers. Even if you have a starter, Cousins is worth adding as a backup.

Other quarterbacks to watch: Ryan Tannehill/Matt Moore, Ben Roethlisberger, Alex Smith, Teddy Bridgewater, Blake Bortles

Running Back: Donald Brown, San Diego Chargers
There’s a chance Brown is already gone in your league. If he isn’t, grab him now. The Chargers lost Danny Woodhead for the season last Sunday and are already without Ryan Mathews for at least another month. That leaves Brown and some guy named Branden Oliver to shoulder the load against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have allowed the most rushing yards in the NFL this season. This should be a slam dunk.

Other running backs to watch: Shonne Greene, Maurice Jones-Drew, DeAngelo Williams, Khiry Robinson, LeGarrette Blount

Wide Receiver: Justin Hunter, Tennessee Titans
To be honest, there aren’t too many receivers on the waiver wire these days. Hunter might be your best bet, as the second-year burner has received his fair share of targets but has yet to have a breakout game. The Titans travel to Indianapolis in Week 4, and only three NFL teams have allowed more passing touchdowns than the Colts so far this season. This could be game where Hunter hits paydirt.

Other wide receivers to watch: Harry Douglas, Stevie Johnson, Jordan Matthews, Jeremy Kerley, Hakeem Nicks

Tight End: Larry Donnell, New York Giants
The Giants’ passing attack finally came alive in Week 3, and while Donnell didn’t exactly light it up, he did tie Victor Cruz for second on the team with six targets. Donnell has caught no less than five passes in each of his three games this season, and the Redskins’ defense isn’t exactly airtight.

Other tight ends to watch: Travis Kelce, Coby Fleener, Owen Daniels, Charles Clay, Delanie Walker
