Jemile WeeksJemile Weeks finally will get the chance to redeem himself Wednesday night.

The newly acquired infielder made his Boston Red Sox debut as a pinch runner Monday night against the Tampa Bay Rays and promptly was picked off by reliever Grant Balfour.

With Dustin Pedroia still out, Weeks will try his luck in the starting lineup, batting ninth and playing second base as Boston takes on the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.

Brock Holt, who started at second base Tuesday night, will shift to third base, bumping Will Middlebrooks out of the lineup. First baseman Mike Napoli will also get the night off as Allen Craig gets the start at first base, batting sixth.

Christian Vazquez will bat eighth and get the start behind the plate for pitcher Anthony Ranaudo, who is looking for his fourth consecutive win since joining the team at the beginning of August.
